Morning departure to Interlaken, which means “between the lakes”. Drive through the unique Anestrasse Tunnel-like drive, cut be hand axe through solid rock. See the William Tell Monument at Altdoz. Continuing to the heady heights of Susten Pass, there will be unlimited views of the towering snow-capped peaks. Return to Lucerne for Overnight.
Morning sightseeing tour of Lucerne to see the old and the modern – The wooden bridges, the Lion Monument, the Cathedral and Town Hall with its nine towers. In the afternoon go by streamer to Alpnachstad, then by the steepest electric cogwheel railway in the world, to the summit of Mount Pilatus (7,000 ft.) To view a large section of the Apls and the many lakes. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Transfer by motor coach to Zurich airport for your return flight.
